Koenigsegg Agera R 2012

Koenigsegg Agera R

At the 2011 Geneva Motor Show Koenigsegg is presenting the brand new Koenigsegg Agera R - Quicker than lightning! The Agera R on the Koenigsegg show stand - production car # 83 - is inspired by the legendary Speed Racer theme, as specified by the owner of the car. Speed Racers main colour is white - so is snow. Equipped with special Michelin tires and a custom made Thule Roof Box - Speed Racer is ready to attack the ski resorts!
In 2010 Koenigsegg presented a pre-production version of the Koenigsegg Agera. Since then the pre-production car and several test mules have continued the Agera development program. The Agera pre-production car has been driven by several influential motoring journals, resulting in raving reviews and awards, such as for example becoming the "Top Gear Hypercar of the Year". Please see attached quotes from these test-drives.
All in all the production versions of the Agera are created to take the Koenigsegg experience to the next level both on the road and the track, still maintaining the largest luggage space in the industry in combination with the unique Koenigsegg door system and detachable/stow-able hardtop.
There are several differences between the pre-production car previously shown and the production versions. For example, the engine and gearbox configurations are different and some revolutionary interior, chassis and aerodynamic features adorn the production version of the Agera that has never been shown before. Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale 2014

Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale

Maserati has turned its beautiful and potent GranTurismo MC Stradale into a machine that is just as fast but even more practical, technically advanced and even more beautiful.
First launched in 2010, the two-seat GranTurismo MC Stradale took development ideas from its Trofeo racing cars seamlessly blending them into its GranTurismo coupe. Maserati took those ideas and evolved its light-weight two-seat super coupe into the four-seat 2014 GranTurismo MC Stradale.
Its all-new carbon-fibre bonnet not only creates high-speed downforce and improves cooling, but also means the four-seat GranTurismo MC Stradale retains almost the same dry weight as the discontinued two-seat version (1700 kg.). This means it continues to be the lightest and fastest car in the Maserati GranTurismo range, even though it now offers comfort to four adults instead of two.
The ongoing development of the GranTurismo MC Stradale also proves that Maserati has not neglected the importance of its two-door coupe range even with the world's focus on its all-new Quattroporte model.
Powered by the most potent version of Maserati's 4.7-litre V8 engine, the GranTurismo MC Stradale hits 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 303 km/h.
GranTurismo MC Stradale utilizes the most powerful 460CV (338kW) version of the 4.7-litre V8 and mates this to the lightning-fast gear shifts from its six-speed electro-actuated "MC Race Shift" transaxle gearbox.
Drawn from the GranTurismo Sport, this version of the classic 4.7-litre V8 benefits from diamond-like coating of its tappets and camshaft lobes as part of Maserati's Low Friction Program to be both powerful and fuel efficient.

Volkswagen Scirocco 2015

VW Scirocco

In 1974, precisely 40 years ago, the first generation VW Scirocco made its debut at the Geneva International Motor Show. The coupé has since enriched the lives of all those motorists who love dynamic performance in an agile, confidently stylish and affordable sports car. Volkswagen now presents for the first time - once more in Geneva - the latest generation of the icon which has sold more than one million units. It has been developed further technically and visually. For example, the engines: the six turbo direct injection engines belong to the latest generation of Volkswagen's four-cylinder engine family and consistently fulfil the EU 6 emissions standard; moreover they are up to 19 per cent more economical. Also as standard, all Scirocco with up to 162 kW / 220 PS have a Stop/Start system as well as a battery regeneration mode. The performance of the four TSIs (petrol engines) and two TDIs (diesel engines) ranges from 92 kW / 125 PS to 206 kW / 280 PS in Europe. Despite the reduced fuel consumption, all the engines demonstrate improved power. The largest leap is taken by the new Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0 TSI with 132 kW / 180 PS (previously 1.4 TSI with 118 kW / 160 PS) and the 280 PS Scirocco R (previously 195 kW / 265 PS).
Exterior sharper, interior loaded
The external characteristics of the new Volkswagen Scirocco include its newly designed front and rear sections with redesigned H7 or bi-xenon headlights and LED rear lights. The rear and now swivelling VW logo was designed as a handle for opening the boot lid. The interior is equipped with sport seats and a leather sport steering wheel as standard, while the sports car also features new materials and colours. New technical features include the Dynaudio Excite sound system developed specifically for the Scirocco and the park steering assistant (ParkAssist). Also new on board as standard are auxiliary instruments (charge pressure, chronometer, engine oil temperature) which pay tribute to the original Scirocco.
  • 1.4 TSI: 92 kW / 125 PS (+ 3 PS); 5.4 l/100 km / 125 g/km CO2
  • 2.0 TSI: 132 kW / 180 PS (+ 20 PS); 6.0 l/100 km / 139 g/km CO2
  • 2.0 TSI: 162 kW / 220 PS (+ 10 PS); 6.0 l/100 km / 139 g/km CO2
  • 2.0 TSI: 206 kW / 280 PS (+ 15 PS); 8.0 l/100 km / 187 g/km CO2
  • 2.0 TDI: 110 kW / 150 PS (+ 10 PS); 4.1 l/100 km / 107 g/km CO2
  • 2.0 TDI: 135 kW / 184 PS (+ 7 PS); 4.3 l/100 km / 111 g/km CO2

    VolksWagen Golf GTE 2015

    VolksWagen Golf GTE  2015
Volkswagen is the first automaker worldwide to offer a model line with a full range of conventional 5nd alternative powertrains. The new Volkswagen Golf GTE plug-in hybrid, which will be presented at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show is the fifth powertrain to be offered in the Golf, adding to gasoline, diesel, CNG and full electric versions. The Golf GTE has an NEDC hybrid combined fuel economy rating of 157 mpg (equivalent to 35 g of CO2) and has an all-electric range of 31 miles along with an overall range of 584 miles.
    GTI, GTD, GTE
The Golf GTE name is in line with the GTI and GTD abbreviations—two sporty icons of the Golf range. The first GTI in 1976 invented the term "hot hatch" and is currently the most successful compact sports car in the world. The "I" in the name stands for electronic fuel injection while the "D" in GTD, introduced for the first time in 1982, stands for diesel fuel injection. The latest versions of these two best-selling Golf sports cars were introduced in 2013. Now Volkswagen has transferred its sporty compact car philosophy to a third model—the Golf GTE.
The new VW Golf GTE has two engines: a 1.4-liter 148 horsepower turbocharged and direct-injection TSI® engine and a 101 hp electric motor. These combine to provide the stated system power of 201 hp. If the electric motor is the sole source for propulsive power, the Golf GTE is capable of speeds of up to 81 mph. When the full power of the system is harnessed, the GTE sprints from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 7.6 seconds and achieves a top speed of 135 mph on the autobahn and race courses. Of more significance is the superior pulling power of the Golf GTE thanks to its alliance of a gasoline engine and electric motor that produces a maximum torque of 258 lb-ft. This torque sets this first "GTE" apart from other plug-in hybrid models.

    Nissan GT-R 2015

    Nissan GT-R 2015

Evolution never stops for the Nissan GT-R. Nissan's iconic sports car brings a refreshed vision of "innovation that excites" with the introduction of the MY2015 (in the U.S., MY2014 in Europe) model offering a new level of sophistication, yet with no compromise in performance.
The 2015 Nissan GT-R offers smoother ride comfort, more refinement and benchmark fit and finish, in the spirit of a great "GT," while delivering breathtaking performance and road-holding. Its "multi-dimensional performance" means the driver can enjoy the full depth of the GT-R's capabilities, whether navigating corners of a winding mountain road, cruising on the highway or even in an urban environment.
Adding premium appeal to the exterior and interior design, the 2015 Nissan GT-R delivers sophisticated driving pleasure and is the ultimate embodiment of Nissan's brand philosophy: "innovation that excites."
    Chassis
The suspension was fine-tuned to reduced load fluctuation between the four wheels, giving better stability and more consistent grip.
More constant tire contact is achieved by optimized electronic control of the shock-absorber valves, as well as modified front stabilizer spring rates and updated bush link. The tuning of these parts, which makes best use of the suspension strokes and enhances road-holding capability, gives a poised, confident ride and outstanding traction on rough roads.
With minute vibrations and road noise reduced, a relaxing, comfortable ride is assured. An additional benefit is improved straight-line stability, with fewer small steering corrections needed to maintain the correct trajectory during highway driving.

    Dodge Challenger RT Shaker 2014

    Dodge Challenger RT Shaker 2014

Injecting a fresh shot of heritage into the Challenger lineup, the new 2014 R/T Shaker model features unique throwback muscle-car cues that link directly to Dodge brand's performance legacy.
As the model name suggests, the legendary "cold-air grabbing" Shaker not only looks good with its Satin Black center-mounted hood scoop, snorkeling up from the engine compartment, it also directs cooler air back into the HEMI® V-8 engine. And like the original 1970 Challenger R/T with the Shaker hood, the new 2014 model continues the Dodge tradition of an engine-mounted hood scoop that "shakes" with the powertrain's movement.
Designed for muscle-car buffs who can't help but tinker with their toys, the Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker features the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine producing over 400 lb.-ft. of torque, with a functional Shaker hood with Mopar cold-air intake, conical air filter and optimized air box for improved airflow and performance. Lift the hood and enthusiasts will also be treated to an under-hood "Shaker" badge - reminiscent of the 1970s original.
In addition to its driver-selectable sport-mode powertrain calibration, performance-tuned suspension, four-wheel disc brakes and steering calibration, the Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker includes the Super Track Pak, with high-performance steering gear, brake linings and monotube shock absorbers, P245/45R20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car three-season tires and three-mode electronic stability control (ESC) with "full off" mode. All-season performance tires are available at no extra charge.
